Introduction to PhoneGap Talks + Hack Session with the Engineers from PhoneGap

Cohort 2 Community Week Day 4 - Afternoon Workshop with a few of PhoneGap's original development team

In Week 6 of CodeCore's Rails Bootcamp program by TamTon Training, we host a series of events featuring Vancouver's top innovators to give our students and the rest of the community a peek into the their toolkits/stories. On day 4 of our 2nd Community Week, we had Steve Gill, Brian LeRoux and Joe Bowser stop by to run a session on building your first PhoneGap app.

Members of the PhoneGap team ran a few talks on PhoneGap followed up with a hack session for our students. They got started on their first PhoneGap app and had access to experts who helped them with current struggles they were facing with their existing PG apps.

PhoneGap is a mobile development framework produced by Nitobi, purchased by Adobe Systems in 2011. It enables software programmers to build applications for mobile devices using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, instead of device-specific languages such as Objective-C.
